The 2017 Event was a tremendous success!  Thank you to all the volunteers. Thank you to all the attendees.  Thousands of dollars raised to feed the hungry!

What is Empty Bowls?

Picture - Bowls Table LowEmpty Bowls is an international effort to fight hunger.  We are fortunate to have this program right here in Denton for the benefit of our community.

Empty Bowls is a fundraising luncheon where ticket-holders select a handcrafted bowl of their choice, and are served bread and homemade soup...a ministry of Christ The Servant Lutheran Church in Denton.

All proceeds from this benefit are given to assist the Denton Community Food Center and Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen located at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.

Get Involved!

ebhands302Contact the church office if you want to be involved.  Artists of all kinds can help; from potters who donate bowls, to artists who glaze and fire bowls, to professionals in other media who donate their work for the silent auction.  If you're not an artist, then you can still help us raise money to feed the hungry in Denton.

We have already begun to collect bowls and artwork for the next luncheon. We would also love to make a presentation to your group, about the needs of the hungry in our community, and how you can help.
