The Quilters Group is a much needed ministry. The CTS Quilters have a goal of making and sending 150 quilts per year. These quilts are boxed up here and taken to Lutheran World Relief for distribution around the world. In 2013 alone, 451,656 quilts went to 15 countries including almost 7,000 staying within our own borders.
These quilts are used in several different ways: Most importantly, to keep warm on their beds, A baby carrier on a mother's back, A container to transport goods to the market, For shade in the hot sun, As a shawl
The Quilters are always looking for more help. You do not need to be a perfectionist to do this work.
We meet the second and fourth Mondays and Tuesdays every month except June, July and August. In November and December they meet the second Monday and Tuesday of the month.
